Employee and Family Assistance Program

C-FER provides an Employee and Family Assistance Program to their employees and eligible family members which can help with many concerns or problems through short-term counselling services. Professionally accredited counsellors have various areas of expertise, such as nutrition, elder and family care, smoking cessation, marital, legal and financial counselling.

Health Care Spending Account (HCSA)

Individual employee accounts that can be used for eligible medical expenses (expenses deemed eligible by the Canada Revenue Agency).

Dental Coverage

Pension Plan

Employee contributions are matched by the company. 

Prelude Retiree Benefits

If an employee chooses to retire from C-FER, this retirement health plan is available to assist the employee and their family in transition to similar benefit coverage.  This is an employee-paid benefit, and the employee may choose the coverage based on their needs.

Fitness Subsidy

C-FER subsidizes eligible full-time and part-time employees for fitness-related activities and programs for the purpose of general fitness and physical wellness. 


Permanent employees are entitled to 15 – 30 days of vacation annually, depending both on their commencement date and on their years of service.

Hours of Work and Earned Days Off

C-FER has flexible work hours to accommodate employees’ individual needs and encourage work/life balance.

Sick Days

Eligible employees are allocated up to 10 sick days per calendar year (which can be used for doctor's appointments.
