Minister Fawcett tours the C-FER Technologies research laboratory
EDMONTON (March 13, 2015) – Kyle Fawcett (Minister of Environment and Sustainable Resource Development) and Don Scott (Minister of Innovation and Advanced Education) were at C-FER on Friday to announce the Alberta’s plan for reducing the amount of tailings that accumulate during oil sands mine operation. The announcement also included a water management framework that aims to reduce the amount of water withdrawn from the Athabasca River for oil sands operations.
C-FER Presents at the NEB Pipeline Safety Forum

C-FER Technologies pipeline and technology development expertise recognized.
C-FER Technologies, a recognized leader in pipeline research and technology development, was invited to present at the NEB Pipeline Safety Forum held in Calgary in June of 2015. This two-day event, organized by the National Energy Board of Canada as part of their national engagement initiative, provided an opportunity to engage stakeholders in discussions on how to improve pipeline safety and environmental protection.

C-FER hosts deligation from CNPC Tubular Goods Research Institute

C-FER was pleased to host a Chinese delegation from the CNPC Tubular Goods Research Institute (TGRI), including TGRI president, Mr. Zhang Guanjun. The delegation met at C-FER’s facilities to review on-going projects and new opportunities for research collaborations. Following the meeting, members of the delegation witnessed full-scale tests of pipeline specimens as part of a current project with TGRI.

Award presented at a banquet during the 2013 ATCE conference in New Orleans.
On October 1, 2013, C-FER’s Managing Director was honored at the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition with the SPE Production and Operations Award. The award, presented at a banquet held at The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, acknowledges outstanding achievements in or contributions to the advancement of petroleum engineering in the area of production operations technology.
